CASTLES
Take a tour or walk round the beautiful gardens and grounds of one of Moray’s many castles. Three of our favourites are Brodie Castle, Ballindalloch Castle or Cawdor Castle all of which are only 30 minutes drive away.
WHISKY
Speyside is a paradise for whisky lovers. We have 4 local distilleries within 20 minutes drive – Glen Moray, Glen Grant, Benromach and Dallas Dhu. Gordon MacPhail also provide fantastic tastings in their whisky shop in Elgin.
DINING
The Craigellachie Hotel makes use of Moray’s fantastic local produce as well as having a whisky room with over 900 different malts available. Booking is recommended and as part of our concierge service, we can book a table for you in advance of your stay. Other recommendations are in the welcome booklets in each of our properties. We also are happy to arrange a catering service should you wish.
JOHNSTON OF ELGIN
Manufacturers of the finest cashmere, tweed and knitwear, the shop and factory are only 15 minutes drive away in Elgin. There are tours of the factory and Kellas guests can also benefit from a special shopping discount. Please just let us know if you would like to visit and we will arrange this for you.
GOLF
There are many golf courses in Moray with the closest only 15 minutes away. There is also Castle Stuart near Inverness and Nairn Links which are just under an hour away. If you would like us to book tee times for you then please just contact the Kellas Team.
FISHING
Salmon Fishing is world-renowned in Moray with the River Spey, River Findhorn and River Lossie to name just a few. We can also organise trout fishing on our own fishing lochs which are open daily and stocked regularly.
Walking & Cycling
Moray has miles of beautiful sandy beaches, cycling and walking paths, forestry tracks and moutain bike trails all easily accessible from Kellas Estate. Bike hire is available through Outfit Moray based in Lossiemouth.
RAFTING
To see the landscape from a different perspective, why not try rafting down the River Findhorn. Ace Adventures have a centre only 30 minutes from Kellas House. Trips can be arrange for this for Kellas Guests.
